This role ensures that medical devices are functioning optimally, comply with safety standards, and support the hospital’s healthcare delivery. The Biomedical Incharge will lead a team of biomedical technicians, coordinate with clinical staff, and manage equipment procurement and lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and oversee preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and safety checks of all biomedical equipment (e.g., ICU ventilators, anesthesia machines, ECG monitors, defibrillators, dialysis machines, ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, etc.).
Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation for audits and inspections.
Ensure proper functioning of life-support and critical care equipment to support patient safety.
