Causes

- Foot damage: Nerve damage and poor blood flow can increase the risk of infections and amputations.
- Skin and mouth conditions: Increased risk of bacterial and fungal infections, gum disease, and dry mouth.
- Pregnancy complications: Increased risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, birth defects, diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic retinopathy, pregnancy-induced high blood pressure, and preeclampsia. Managing Type 1 Diabetes:
